This is my first finish of 2016. Actually, it is my second but I am not allowed to share the first one. It is a counted canvas piece called Seasonal Rays - Summer - by Kurdy Biggs of Threedles. Copyright 2010. It was a UFO that I listed on the Mass. ANG's President's Challenge that I wanted to finish by April of this year. That's four off the list - 3 more to go! Thanks for looking.

First finish of 2015
This is my first finish of the new year - it is a painted canvas by Sharon G. I started it as part of a Canvas Embellishment class taught by Carole Lake and Michael Boren at Callaway in 2012. Michael helped choose the threads; Carole and the class brainstormed ideas of what was the focal point, etc. It was the first painted canvas that I have done in over 30 years - back then, the only threads used were wool. Now, the possibilities are endless and I am hopelessly hooked!

Under The Tree by LHN
This is Lyla's ornament for this year. I changed the year (2010!) to her name. I hope she will like it. Thanks for looking.

Spring Fling by Joni Stevenson
This is my latest finish - it is called Spring Fling and was a class piece that I started about three years ago. It is #7 of the 10 pieces that I listed in the MANG President's Challenge - I have until the end of April to finish the remaining three. Stand by for updates! Thanks for looking.

Floral Ribbons by Laura J. Perin
This is my latest finish. The President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the ANG gave us a challenge to finish our UFOs. We were to list as many as we wished and as we finish them, share them during Show and Tell at the meetings. In a moment of insanity, I listed TEN (don't ask how many others I have!) and this is number 3. It is called FLORAL RIBBONS by Laura J. Perin and was published in the March 2009 issue of Needle Pointers. On to number four! Thanks for looking.

This is my latest finish. It is called SHERWOOD GARDEN by Needle Delights. It was offered as an online class through Shining Needle Society - if you have never taken one of their classes, you are definitely missing something special. I did change the outside border of the piece because I had trouble with the stitch and I really like the way it turned out. Changing anything is a HUGE step for me - definitely not something I would have done when I was younger. Thanks for looking.

Finished this last night - it is called STAINED GLASS QUILT by From Nancy's Needle. It was a class piece that my ANG chapter started a couple of years ago and although I loved the colors, I found the repetition to be a little boring, so it became a UFO. Decided that sometimes boring is good, especially when one does not feel like concentrating because of too many of life's "distractions", so I dug it out and found it to be therapeutic.
